Read these rules and read them carefully. If you break them, there's consequences.
They're not too hard to follow either so make an effort.
These are the basic rules that apply on every board of this forum. Specific rules are explained on each board as well.
1. LalaLand is a PG-13 forum. Swearing and explicit content is allowed. This means words like "fuck", "shit", "motherfucker", etc.
2. You will not bash any user of this forum or any other online community. There's the occasional insult and name-calling is okay if you know the person and if you are only doing it to PLAY around. Insults that are not meant are fine.
If we see it's crossing the barriers, the post will be deleted.
Any Role-Playing fights are fine too.
3. Absolutely NO racism.Do not criticize someone else for what they were born as, like or look like. We can't choose our skin color or our sexual orientation.
4. Art theft or character usage is absolutely NOT allowed. To use art or characters, you need the original owner's permission. No exception. This goes for the Introduction board and RP.
If the original owner agrees with your usage, show us a screenshot of the written permission.
If we decide it's authentic, you will post a link for the screenshot and credit the original owner before you write out your post.
You cannot introduce other people's characters in the Introductions forum.
5. Netspeak is allowed when you're fooling around or being sarcastic. Posts with majority of netspeak will be revised or, if unreadable, deleted.
We don't need a translator to tell us what the threads are about. We want to keep the forum clean and understandable.
"plz d0nt d0 ths 4ll th3 t1m0rz."
The same goes for chat speak. This is not a chat; it's a forum and we'd appreciate it if you talked English.
6. You are allowed to use text smileys. These consist of "xD", "(:", ";3;" and others. Do not, however, make an entire post out of these smileys and do not use them in RPs, Literature or Fanfiction.
Example:
"", said Solka. That is wrong
Solka's face beamed with enthusiasm. That is correct
7. If you're writing an introduction, do it in the essay format. It can be as long as you wish, so long as it's understandable.
Example: "Hello, my name is [insert name] and I live in [insert place]." That could be your first sentence, for example.
8. Moderators and admins can and will delete your post if they see need in doing so.
If you don't understand why it was deleted, you can ask a mod why, under what circumstances, what you should change in it, etc. Do not try to change their opinions. A mod's decision is final. Do not argue.
Like we said, not complying to the rules will have its consequences.
At first, you will simply get your posts deleted.
If you (after we have deleted them) repost them over two times you will get a 2 (two) days ban.
Third rule-break will result in a 2 (two) week ban.
Fourth rule-break will result in a 2 (two) months ban.
At the fifth rule-break you will be permanently banned.
As you see, you have plenty of opportunity. Don't ruin yourself.
