The following info is copyright me, my real name, my alias, don't think you can copy this just because it's a cartoon character. I did not invent Æsir and Vanir and some such from norse mythology, but you can't really sue me for old wives tales.
Hi. My name is Heiki, that's all I'll tell you. I'm a 103 year old Old Norse Æsir Vampyr from the cold mountains up North. I am a Russian Ridgeback.
My hobbies include things such as chain-smoking, child cruelty, cold-blooded murder, being a lazy, arrogant fucknut, etc, etc.
I'm insane, I listen to lots of music, I drink vodka, I hallucinate. I hear voices. I like to conduct all sorts of odd experiments on my body, just to see what happens. Like how many nails I can put through my leg. You can't possibly summarize me, that's how awesome I am.
I've seen a lot, been a lot, and you won't get a rise out of me. I'm the bloody pacifist here, and my kind of peace could also be you, six foot under.
Keep that in mind, darling.
Old Norse Æsir Vampyr?
-A race created for warfare by Loki, thus making them not Æsir descendants after all.
-They keep alive and young by eating Iðun's apples. Årolilja the Huldra provides them with these.
-All children born to Old Norses, will be Old Norse. If an animal accidentally eats one of Iðun's apples, they will become an Old Norse Æsir Vampyr.
If the child is half non-vampyr/half Old Norse, it will be a "fake" vampyr. They carry all the traits of Old Norse, but they can be killed like a normal animal.
If an Old Norse Æsir Vampyr and an Old Norse Vanir Vampyr mate, the child will 90% of the time die at birth, as Vanir and Æsir are almost uncompatible.
It is unknown how to turn Old Norse Vanir Vampyr.
-An odd condition, possibly influenced by Loki's sadistic streak, makes that an Old Norse's hunger can never be satisfied. Many lose sleep, inflict harm upon themselves and/or go insane from the constant gnawing at their insides.
-When an Old Norse hasn't fed for a while and needs blood (this is rare, because they're constantly hungry.), it will show classic signs of blood loss. When the Old Norse is satiated, only the hunger is following it.
-They can eat anything, but not digest it; it must be forced out of their bodies again. They live wholly of blood. The blood can be of any species; but because of the faint poison in Old Norse blood, they aren't a very popular meal.
-They can be killed by removal of the brain only.
-They have no heartbeat, nor do their lungs breathe. They tend to loathe water, so even though they can say underwater for hours they tend not to unless they really lack blood. They are also not the most agile in water, making them an easy prey for sharks.
-While they hold no special powers, they are masterly trained in combat and warfare. They cannot live without fighting and thus end up in constant squabble; this tends to end up with one or two clan members dead. The others will feast on them.
-While the Old Norse have the brain to plan their advances, they usually skip this step because of their immense bloodthirst.
-If life threatening damage is dealt, the body creates a special flow of adrenaline that actually heals the body. For minor injuries, they'll have to deal.
-When an Old Norse dies, it disappears. No afterlife for them, because they came from Nowhere in the first place.
Please note that RRs and Æsir Vampyrs are NOT the same thing; any animal can be turned Æsir Vampyr.
Russian Ridgeback? (Alt. names: Jotunn)
-A giant hunting dog; bred by crossing Great Danes, Rhodesian Ridgebacks, Borzoi and Tundra wolves. The goal was to create a large hunting wolfdog, that could hunt independently for both human and animal prey. Instead, the animal became too independent for the breeders to handle, and they were put into the wild, where they took up after the extinct wolves in regulating the amount of prey.
The expected lifecourse of this dog is 15-18 years.
-The Russian Ridgeback is a very dominant and aggressive dog, making it popular as a fighting dog. It will not take well to a human trying to control it, and using physical punishment on the dog is asking for trouble. One time, and it will never trust you again. Though even while flawlessly trained, the dog is never to be trusted. They are arrogant and don't aim to please anyone else than themselves.
They are known for their immense intelligence, and ability to remember and learn. The dog will copy everything it's trainer does.
Ridgebacks are mainly crepuscular or nocturnal, depending on what prey they hunt.
-The Russian Ridgeback is a giant but elegant dog. It has a large ribcage, witnessing it's borzoi heritage. The rear dips greyhound-fashion. Little to no sexual dimorphism exists; males and females alike should reach about 3 m at the withers. The normal weight is 3-4 ton. [HEIKIPHANT]
It's paws are big and perfectly fit for trailing it's prey in the steep mountains. It can also hunt on flatter snowgrounds, where they take use of their speed and stamina in order to race their prey to exhaustion.
Living in a place where the temperature is rarely above freezing point, the Ridgeback does not agree well with warmer climates.
-The coat is thick and wavy, especially at cheeks, butt, and feet, where it quite literally poofs out. A natural mohawk should start at the end of the forehead and gradually die down towards the tail.
The coat can have any kind of colour, but varied greys and blues are most common. Reds and browns occur as well, but harlequin, mantle and brindle are very rare.
Various merles have been known to occur occasionally.
-When these dogs where used for hunting, it was common practice to crop the ears into rigid triangles to add to the wolfish appearance. This also prevented the dog's ears from getting bitten in combat, though very few can fight well against a dog this huge either way.
